Fried fish anyone?!?

So, I was at home on Wednesday for lunch minding my own business eating my grill cheese sandwich watching "Days" and all of a sudden one of the smoke alarms starts going off. I thought to myself that maybe I just needed to change the batteries but when the rest of them started to go off, I panicked a bit!

I ran around downstairs, in our room, all around to see if I could see anything. I put the dogs out in the backyard and I ran upstairs to find smoke filling the second floor. The only thing up there possible to have started this smoke was the fish tank and I could hear it wasn't on.

I called Steve a million times and when he finally answered told him I was home for lunch and the smoke alarms were going off. He told me to get off the phone and call 911 and that he'd be right home. I call 911, the first time it just rang and rang. I finally got through on the second time, nice huh! Anyhow, the fire trucks were there in no time along with the police department and ambulance.

Salt water had been spilling from the tank into an electrical plug we had behind the tank and started an electrical fire. LUCKILY, I was not hurt nor was the house. Hunter was at daycare thank the good Lord or else I would have been panicking a million times more than I already was.

The fish tank is currently located right up the stairs next to Hunter's room. Tonight, it will be either retired or relocated. I'm thinking retired! We were very blessed to have not been hurt or had our house burn down.
